The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music for Individuals Who Use Wheelchairs: 3 Case Studies

This article explores applications of the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) with individuals who use wheelchairs. The study was conducted in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo with participants from indigenous communities. Presented here are case studies of two female adults diagnosed with cerebral palsy and one male adult with traumatic spinal cord injury. The case studies illustrate how each of them benefitted from a series of individual GIM sessions. All three participants are receiving long term care in a residential home.
