The 2017 AMI Conference Committee is pleased and excited to be hosting a Research Symposium as part of the international conference. Dr. Laurel Young, Associate Professor at Concordia University’s Music Therapy Graduate Programs, will be chairing this symposium. Participants will have the opportunity to present briefly on their GIM research. This may include past or current projects. Both qualitative and quantitative perspectives are welcome.
A facilitated panel discussion will follow these presentations where participants will share their perspectives on the current state of research in GIM and share their ideas on how the future of GIM research needs to unfold and why. We would like to publish proceedings of the Symposium and if you agree, a template will be provided.
If you are interested of being part of this GIM Research Symposium please submit (via e-mail) a 200 word abstract along with the title(s) of your research project (s), as well as the name and credentials of the researcher(s) to Guylaine Vaillancourt (see e-mail below). The deadline for submissions is January 15th, 2017.
Please email submissions or questions to: Guylaine Vaillancourt, Ph.D, MTA, Fellow of The Association for Music and Imagery at firstname.lastname@example.org
