Alpha is a certified music therapist with CAMT having completed undergraduate (1992), and graduate (1998) degrees in music therapy. She holds a doctorate in Leadership and Change (2015), through Antioch University. Her training began with Rosemary Linquist and Kirsty Lewis (1991), and continued with Linda Kaiser (1992 and 2001). After literally traveling between Europe and North America for 13 years, Alpha finally completed Level III with Liz Moffit in 2017! Alpha has held leadership roles across continents and cultures in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) 2004-2007, at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance (2014-2016), Marywood University in Pennsylvania (2016-2017) and at Wartburg College in Iowa (2018-2022). After being retired for 2 years, she ice currently teaching part-time at Capilano University. in North Vancouver, B.C. She has presented internationally in Japan, Argentina, the UK, Bosnia, Ireland, the USA and Canada and recently was invited to speak at the University of the Arts in the Ukraine (Jan 2023). Her experiences in Bosnia were the basis for her doctoral work in leadership, music therapy and personal transformation in regions affected by armed conflict.
