I am a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC), trained in the United States, and a certified public psychologist (CPP) in Japan. I currently practice Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) in Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan. My clinical work focuses on adults from the general population who present with a wide range of concerns, including trauma and abuse, grief and loss, mild depression, anxiety, and difficulties in daily life. I hold a PhD in Music Therapy from Temple University. My primary research has explored the inner processes and experiences of the therapist in GIM. In addition, I am currently engaged in collaborative research with GIM colleagues on cultural aspects of GIM practice. I offer sessions in Japanese and English. I offer GIM training programs in Japan in Japanese language.
