I gained my MA in Music Therapy from Roehampton University in 2007. I work in private practice, offering Music and Imagery (MI), Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM), and Music Breathing to provide support that is caring, understanding, and compassionate to help restore emotional balance, and nurture inner resources. MI and GIM foster creativity while promoting emotional well-being and personal growth. I bring a wealth of experience in assisting people in navigating through challenging emotional situations including abuse, trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement, work/educational stress, life events, illness, self-esteem, relationships, and self-expression. I also offer support with self-expression and personal development, and wellbeing for musicians/creative professionals. I understand that finding a therapist can be challenging, and it is essential to connect to someone you feel safe with. I believe trust, compassion, and creativity form the foundation of the therapeutic connection, sparking transformation and unlocking inner potential. The trust in the therapist-client relationship, along with the healing power of music, forms the core of each session. Acknowledging the need for security while addressing life’s challenges, I aim to create a welcoming and inclusive space that meets each person's unique needs. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with adults and young people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, neurodivergence, sensory processing difficulties, dementia, terminal illness, and the link between physical and emotional pain. I am a BAMT registered supervisor and Assistant Course Director and Supervisor for the Music and Imagery Therapy courses at The Integrative GIM Training Programme. I have also presented regularly at conferences in the UK and abroad.
