Biography:
I have a private practice in GIM and specialise in working online, having done further training for online working. I also offer GIM supervision. I have had a GIM practice for over 14 years and worked as a music therapist for 32 years, mostly within the field of adult mental health and personal development. My registration is with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK. I was the Lead Arts Psychotherapist within a mental health National Health Service (NHS) Trust for over 7 years. My work has included working in India with children for Voluntary Services Overseas. I work inclusively and have experience of working with diverse groups of people from different ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, ages, a range of neurodiversity and with different abilities and disabilities. My way of working is music-centred and influenced by humanistic and psychodynamic approaches. I work with an awareness of the body and transpersonal experiences. I also work as a professional couples’ therapist in private practice and my relational approach enhances what I offer in GIM. I'm a professional member of the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO) and recently presented at their annual conference on Guided Imagery and Music online, which was very well received. Please feel free to contact me by e mail or phone if you have questions. I offer a reduced rate initial session so you can see if working with me online using GIM is something you would like to continue with to support you.
